My pattern collection is best recognisable by it’s unique colour combinations and ink painted details. The inspiration for these patterns can be found in the everyday, nature and are rooted in an imaginary world.

...vibrant and buzzing with life..."

—Philip Dennis / Ape on the Moon

The works evoke the fragility of the present moment. Using ink on paper without planning in advance creates a practice where you can’t hide anything. What I find beautiful in this, is that nothing gets erased, all small stains become part of the final piece.

"These illustrations are injections of energy..."

— Savon Sanomat

Since 2005, I have been working with illustration and children’s culture in various forms. After my first published children’s book in 2011, many more followed, with titles published also in various languages, Polish, Korean, Chinese, Spanish amongst them. I’m a visual storyteller, and find it important to leave space for the reader to ponder and think. I believe that picture books can tackle even the most difficult topics. As such, they are both for kids as well as for adults.
